JOB SUMMARY
On behalf of our esteemed client, we are seeking a detail-oriented, thorough, and organized Procurement Officer to oversee purchases and develop new contracts. In this position, the candidate will play a key role in procuring high-quality and cost-efficient supplies for our client's company. He/She will follow procurement procedures, maintain an updated list of inventory and incoming purchases and supplies, and be responsible for approving purchases.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Estimating and establishing cost parameters and budgets for purchasesMaintain accurate records of purchases and pricingCreate and maintain good relationships with vendors/suppliersMaking professional decisions in a fast-paced environmentMaintain records of purchases, pricing, and other important dataReview and analyze all vendors/suppliers, supply, and price optionsDevelops plans for purchasing equipment, services and suppliesNegotiate the best deal for pricing and supply contracts ensure that the products and supplies are high qualityCreate and maintain inventory of all incoming and current suppliesMaintain and update list of suppliers and their qualifications, delivery times, and potential future developmentWorking with team members and Procurement Manager to complete duties as needed
REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Procurement or any related field preferredSolid knowledge and understanding of procurement processes, policy, and systemsShould have a basic knowledge of accountingTwo (2) years previous experience as Procurement Officer or related positionProficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel)Ability to analyze problems and strategize for better solutionsAbility to negotiate, establish, and administer contractsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficientlyAccurate and precise attention to detailAbility to work well with management and staff at all levelsGoal-oriented, organized team player
